The University of Cambridge Graduation Yearbook 2020

In 2020, I was tasked in updating the style and layout design of the University of Cambridge graduation yearbook. The layout style set would also be used for future yearbooks. Due to difficulty around creating new photography due to the Covide 19 lockdown, accessing models or sending out a photographer would be problematic. The University was used to using hero imagery for their yearbook covers, I proposed to go with and illustrative approach for the cover artwork, something new but something sophisticated and timeless. In modernising the look and feel for the yearbook, I looked at significant symbolism around the graduation ceremony at Cambridge. With the Senate House having significant importance in hosting the graduation ceremony, I choose to illustrate the Senate building in an architectural style drawing of the building.
The front cover of the yearbook is illustrated with the Senate building, this illustration was created by drawing vector shapes and lines digitally in Adobe illustrator.
Internal pages that represent significant events and achievements at Cambridge during the students time of study.
Internal college pages, layout displays the college crest with a piece written by a representative of the college on one page, the other with an image of the students year taken at their collage grounds.
Back cover of the yearbook with the University of Cambridge on the University primary brand colour 'Cambridge blue'.
